    Hello and welcome to Thimphu TechPark (TTP) is the flagship IT development in the Kingdom of Bhutan. The IT Park will in its first phase, have 50,000 square feet of space, of which 40,000 is available to the general public for rentals. 10,000 square feet will comprise a block under the Bhutan Innovation and Technology Center which will be a technology focused space. The motive behind this project is to promote Information Technology related services in Bhutan.

     Within this IT Park, we can Set-up a Data Center. Many technology aspects of this data center meet or exceed international specifications. To highlight a few,

     

    • The IT Park is LEED Platinum certified – this is Bhutan’s first LEED certified building.
    • The IT Park has been designed by one of the best design firms and incorporates current design principles.
    • The IP Park has been built to Seismic Zone 5 standards.
    • POWER: Power to the Park comes from two different power grids, one from the Olakha substation, and the other from Semtoka substation.
    • POWER BACK-UP: The IT Park uses TWO VolvoPenta generators to provide 24*7*356 back up with underground diesel tanks to run it continuously for 36 hours on one filling.
    • COMMUNICATION: we have TWO 24 core Optic Fiber cables entering the IT Park from two different routes to provide redundancy in communication, and is carrier neutral.

    THE DATA CENTER:         

     ·         We are closely following TIA 942 and Uptime standards in our design philosophy and systems, and theData Centre has been designed and built as multi-tier facility -  tier 2 and above, with upto 10,000 sq. ft. building  and Upto 8,000 sq. ft. server room

    • We are deploying highly efficient Rear Door Heat Exchanger cooling systems from USystems, United Kingdom. These ColdLogik cooling systems are being deployed for the first time in the Indian Subcontinent.
    • The Power Cables are being designed and supplied by Burland Technologies of the UK, and Burland also contributes to many of the design parameters of the DC and brings in current European best practices into the design philosophy.
    • The Voice and Data cable distribution is through a combination of CAT6A (10GIG) and Fiber and supplied by Tyco/Systimax.
    • Fire Protection is through a combination of VESDA and Inergen, the DC uses Dissipative anti-static flooring having resistance exceeding 107 ohms.
    • The DC is secure both physically and electronically, and feed from our IP CCTVs can be sourced by you globally.
    • We offer you remote maintenance software by which you can maintain your servers from around the globe.
    • The Data Center is being managed by Data Center Services – a JV between Burland Technologies of UK and New Edge Technologies of Thimphu, Bhutan. DCS will be able to offer our clients high levels of managed services as they have engineers who have been trained and certified by OEMs like Cisco, IBM etc. Besides, NE is one of the largest IT Solutions providers in Bhutan.
    • The above are just a few of the advantages of  the TTP Data Center.
