About me

Jim has been with SWBC since January 2005 and is responsible for oversight of the SWBC Service Center and the day-to-day operations in support of the Credit Union and Mortgage and Bank Divisions’ Loan Risk Management (LRM) programs. In this role, Jim’s responsibilities include distribution, document management, insurance escrow processing, and customer service, as well as training and quality control. Jim and his outstanding Management Team nurture a culture of continuous improvement and an emphasis on World Class Customer Service in a state-of-the-art facility that has enabled SWBC to forge a distinct competitive advantage in our industry! Jim has over 25 years of sales, service, and contact center leadership experience in the financial services and health care industries. Prior to joining SWBC, he was the Assistant Vice President of Life and Annuity Sales, for the USAA Life Insurance Company, where he led the company to three consecutive record years in terms of total policies sold and premium generated. Jim has a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Scranton, Scranton, Pa., and he earned a Master of Science in Planning and Development from The Pennsylvania State University. He is also a graduate of the Darden Executive Leadership Program at the University of Virginia. Jim is a veteran of the United States Air Force and holds the Chartered Life Insurance Underwriter and Registered Health Underwriter designations, as well as the FINRA Series 6, 63, and 26 licenses. Jim’s strong belief in SWBC’s core values is evident through his leadership success and his support of the United Way, the San Antonio Food Bank, and Junior Achievement.
