Thom Mead is the Regional Vice President of Marketing - North America for Firstsource, a leading Tier 2 global BPO provider with principal operations in India, The Philippines, Argentina, the United States and Northern Ireland. Prior to his current position, Thom was the President of Global Recruiters of Atlanta North, LLC, a professional search firm, and part of the worldwide, Global Recruiters Network, Inc. Previously Thom served as the Chief Sales and Marketing Officer for India’s 3rd largest Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) company. His career also includes positions as SVP of Sales for the Outsourcing Division of Spherion; VP of Sales and Marketing for the Outsourcing division of Unisys Corporation; and as president of a wholly owned Ad Agency & BPO subsidiary of ACS where he previously served as the VP of Corporate Marketing for ACS. Mr. Mead began his business career in Sales & Marketing with EDS in 1989. Thom has also served more than 13 years in the United States Marine Corps, rising through the ranks from Private to Captain. Recognized globally as a leader in the Outsourcing community, Thom was awarded “Best in the Industry” twice in his business career. He was also awarded, “Best Marketer” from among more than 1000 marketing professionals at while at EDS. Thom has spoken worldwide at conferences and seminars, has appeared on CNBC and has been frequently quoted in the media, market research and professional publications regarding outsourcing and offshoring. Thom also served on the Board of Directors of the Atlanta Marketers Forum, a 15 year organization comprised of the top 500 marketing professionals in the greater Atlanta area and regularly consults with leading investment banks, institutional investors, and venture capital firms regarding the outsourcing market. Thom served on the Board of Advisors for FAO Research, the only market research firm dedicated to the Finance & Accounting Outsourcing market, and also served for 9 years as a founding member Client Advisory Council of the Gartner Group.
