About me
Larry Steinberg is the principle of Steinberg Financial Advisers (SFA), a Registered Investment Advisory Firm and insurance agency with offices in Scottsdale and Pasadena. Larry founded the firm in Pasadena in 1995 and moved the headquarters to Scottsdale in 2008. Specializing in providing investment and insurance solutions for entrepreneurs, business owners, and the self-employed, SFA implements 401(k) plans, employee benefits, and protects their clients by providing business and personal insurance, with a specialization in difficult to place business insurance for start up and unique companies. Investments are managed like an institutional investor such as a college endowment, private foundation, or pension plan, utilizing both active and passive investments, tactical and strategic asset allocation, tax efficient and alternative investments. As someone who enjoys public speaking, Larry has spoken to groups as diverse as Walton International, IBEW Retiree Club, numerous Rotary clubs, and the ETF West investment conference. Larry has been known to waive his speaking fee for a good cause. Larry received his AB with honors and distinction from Occidental College in 1992, where he played football and rugby. While in school, he worked for Wells Fargo before going to work for Transamerica upon graduation. He then spent two years at Independent Capital Management before starting SFA in 1995. Larry continued his athletics after college, playing competitive rugby for the Oxy Olde Boys RFC until 2004. Larry and his wife Lynn are or have been active in and support a number of business and charitable organizations. These include Rotary, the Invest Southwest Capital Conference, Arizona Technology Council, the Greater Phoenix, Pasadena, and Scottsdale Chambers of Commerce, Occidental Business Associates, Alumni Board of Governors of Occidental College, Junior Achievement of Arizona, Newfoundland Rescue, Clumber Spaniel Rescue, the Pasadena Humane Society and the Pasadena Jaycees. They have a daughter, Estelle, and a son, Bryce. They share their homes with their three dogs, Wilson, Whitney and Roxy. Securities offered through Associated Securities Corp.
