About me

I am a plastic material specialist and I can manage the research and development of the following materials for wire and cable applications, listed in the increasing level of expertise: Plastic materials in general, PVC compounds, polyolefinic compounds (also XLPE), thermoplastic and cross-linkable HFFR compounds. Thanks to my long experience with materials industrial trials at International wire & cable manufacturers sites, I can guide and suggest the best extrusion technology, raw materials type usage and optimal formulation cost & output performance with regard to different cable constructions and applications. Moreover, I have learned most of the main topics and critical aspects around material cable design, from low-medium voltage power cables to telecommunication and specialty cables. My deep work on compound formulation and testing development has given me the understanding on how to target a number of key material properties like cracking & oil resistance, water resistance, long term aging resistance, UV resistance, flexibility, low dye drool formation, flame retardancy and flame resistant. I have also been working on emerging and special cable applications like fiber optic cables, solar & wind turbine cables, automotive & railway cables and fire resistant cables. I know pretty well the major players present in the International wire & cable market business, from the raw material suppliers (compounds, polymers, flame retardant fillers, stabilizers and various additives), to cable manufacturers and lab testing, extruder and compounding equipment producers. I am also a sociable and empathic person, who like to work very structured, and loves organizing, coordinating, planning, etc… I am very tactical and calculated, and I never takes risks without careful studying the possible failures and chances for success, by well going into details for all these aspects. My desire is to work as Material Development Manager in an International wire and cable manufacturer, where multicultural environment associated with high profile professionals will give me the chance to grow and improve further, realizing my ambitions.
