As many of you know from being in the outsourcing business, work can be very demanding on your time. I've been so blessed by keeping my priorities straight. Yeah, I know, I might not climb the corporate ladder as fast as others or make quite as much money as I might have otherwise made, or buy quite as many toys. But, hey, you gotta ask "what the heck we're doing here on the third rock from the sun?" That is the way to frame-up everything you do in life. I believe that God must come first. When everything else fades away and this ole world stops turning, the only thing left will be God (and He was here before the world began). Second, is my family. It's not only the foundation of society, but my family has be entrusted to me by God as the leader, just as Jesus is the head of the church. Third is music. It is what God has wired me for and it is incumbent upon me to use that ability for His glory. Finally, there is work. Not to say work isn't important - it's still a priority. No matter how bad the job or my bosses may be, I am still commanded to work as if I am working for God, Himself.
By the way... Russ Sandlin is probably one of the best bosses I've ever had. I am blessed to have been his employee and count myself blessed to be considered his friend.
Soli Deo Gloria
